Peanut Butter Fudge

Long story, short, my oven doesn’t work. I really need to get it looked at AGAIN. My landlord said I just have to wait for it to warm up. But you know when you leave it on for an hour and it doesn’t even warm the baking sheet, I think it’s more than just letting it warm up. But, none the less, my friend, whose oven I usually use, was on vacation and I had some free time to actually bake. So, I made something I knew I didn’t have to bake. FUDGE! Love penuche fudge. But, I went with peanut butter fudge, because I didn’t want to destroy my hopes and dreams in the first go around by messing up penuche.

The recipe I decided to use was one that read “Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge” from allrecipes.com. I guess my only question is, are other recipes more difficult? Is peanut butter fudge not a normally easy fudge to make? Or is it usually easy to make but this was the even easier. Oh, fudge, how you bewilder me.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 1/4  cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 1/2 cup confectioners sugar

In a medium size sauce pan on a medium heat melt butter. Mix in brown sugar and milk and bring to a boil.

Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in peanut butter and vanilla extract. In a mixing bowl add confectioners sugar and pour heated mixture over the top.

Mix well and pour into 8×8 in. dish. Let cool in fridge until firm and cut into squares and serve.

Thank you again allrecipes.com for the recipe. Super easy and tasty.
