Gummy Bear Rock Concert is the title of my photo.
Haribo Gummy Bears were my inspiration. I love them. But recreating them or something more adult than them was not entirely easy. It took me a couple of different tries to make these wine gummy bears. The first time I made them they turned out more like jello than anything else. The second time they had a much stronger consistency, still jello-esque. But definitely better the second time around. What I found made the difference was allowing the gelatin to set in the wine/sugar mixture before putting it on the heat.
I got the recipe I used from Cooking with Janica. Definitely check out their recipe as well and lots of other cool recipes.
- 1/2 cup wine (red, white, or rose)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 packet of gelatin (1 1/2 Tbs)
Combine the wine and sugar in a small saucepan and mix well. Sprinkle gelatin over the top of wine and sugar mixture and let set for 2-3 minutes. Put saucepan over medium low heat until the sugar and gelatin have dissolved, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and pour into silicon molds.
Set mold filled with mixture in fridge and let set for 1-2 hours. Remove from molds and enjoy your gummy bears!
