Normally, I don’t usually use a stand mixer, but over the holiday I had this AMAZING experience with a KitchenAid. My mum has always had a stand mixer, but I’ve always been hard-headed and turned down using the mixer for the wooden spoon and my arm. Not my brightest idea, I know. At long last I have come to my senses and I finally cleaned up my Grandma’s old Kenmore stand mixer. It was great how much quicker it was to mix the batter and how much less of a mess I had in the end. I’m finally sold on the stand mixer.
But none the less back to the Blonde Brownies. I got the following recipe from All Recipes. It is a very tasty recipe as well.
Blonde Brownie Recipe:
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/2 tsp baking powder
– 1/8 tsp baking soda
– 1/3 cup butter (melted)
– 1 cup light brown sugar
– 1 egg
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1/3 cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×9 pan and set aside.
In a medium size mixing bowl mix together flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Whisk together well and then set aside.
In a separate medium size mixing bowl combine melted butter and brown sugar. Mix well and let cool slightly. Then add egg and vanilla extract. Mix until combined well. Then add the dry mixture to the butter mixture. Mix until dough forms a sticky ball and add in chocolate chips.
Then spread mixture evenly in 9×9 pan and bake for about 20 minutes or until browned on top.
Take out, let cool and enjoy.
